SIGMOD/PODS 2020 Registration Reopened (12 May 2020)
As announced previously, SIGMOD/PODS 2020 and affiliated workshops will be taking place on the dates originally scheduled (14-19 June 2020), but in fully virtual mode. Sessions will be streamed to participants, with a combination of recorded and live content.
Given the reduction of costs of forgoing a physical venue, the SIGMOD/PODS organizing committee has determined new registration rates as follows:
- $300 for paid regular author registration: one author of each technical, industrial and demo paper must register at this rate to be included in the program and the proceedings. Keynote speakers, tutorial presenters, SIGMOD panelists, and Student Research competitors are not required to register at this rate if not otherwise an author. If you are registered at this rate, you do not need an additional paid workshop author registration. SEE BELOW for waivers for student-only papers.
- $100 for paid workshop author registration: one author of each workshop paper must register at this rate if not already registered at the paid author rate. Keynote speakers for workshops are not required to register at this rate. SEE BELOW for waivers for student-only papers.
- Free registration for other participants. All others who want to participate in the virtual events may do so at no cost. However, participants are required to register in order to obtain credentials to access the sessions, and the number of registrations is limited.
Registration is now open at: http://www.cvent.com/d/yhqjj1. Authors should register by 25 May 2020 to ensure inclusion.
STUDENT WAIVERS: For a paper where all authors are students, one author may receive a discount code to register as a paid author for $0. A student wanting to receive a discount code should send the following information to Tianzheng Wang:
- Subject: SIGMOD/PODS student waiver request
- Category of paper: PODS, SIGMOD Technical, SIGMOD Industrial or Demo.
- Paper number and title.
- For each author, the name and email address of the research advisor.
DO NOT register before receiving the discount code.
REFUNDS: For anyone who already registered at the higher previous rates, we will process a refund to your credit card shortly to bring your rate down to the current rate (or refund entirely if you are not an author).
